Filter data in the same time you typing

    Hello.
    I have a question. I don't know if it's possible.
I want to filter data in a column in the same time I’m typing characters. Like in google search, when you type characters the sites are filtering.
Do you think this is possible in excel?
    Thank you in advance.

From the sounds of it, you want "auto-complete", not filtering?

If thats the case, and the range of data being entered is constant ie a list of names, if those names already exist above the entry, then the auto-complete should help "finishing" the name as you type it.

to check if you have auto-complete turned on....
1.Click the Microsoft Office Button , and then click Excel Options.
2.Click Advanced, and then under Editing options, select or clear the Enable AutoComplete for cell values check box to turn this option on or off.

    Hope this helps?
