    Relative vs. Absolute Reference Hyperlinks

Hello, I have several hyperlinks created in a worksheet used as a template for a data entry 'form'; I use these hyperlinks to jump to other cell locations within this same worksheet. When I copy or duplicate the worksheet, all of the hyperlinks will jump to the locations back in the template, not in the duplicate copy. Is there any way I can keep the hyperlink references local to the duplicate worksheet?

    Hi Spreadshite,

    Welcome to the forum.

If you copy the worksheet, all the hyperlinks will jump to the locations back in the template.
If you move and copy the worksheet (by right clicking on the sheet name), you will get the error as "reference is not valid".

To overcome this, you need to copy both the sheets from template itself and then the source and target links will move together and will resolve the issue.

Re: Relative vs. Absolute Reference Hyperlinks

    Dilipandey,
Thank you for the welcome and response! I don't thing I stated my problem correctly. The template is the first worksheet in the workbook. I want to be able to duplicate and rename this template multiple times within the same workbook. I created the hyperlinks in the template to help navigate around within each individual worksheet copy I make from the template. Right now all the hyperlinks in each copied worksheet jumps back to the cell locations in the template from which the copy was made rather than the cell locations within the copy itself. Hope that makes sense, and any input is appreciated.
