I can freeze (from scrolling) the 1st column and the 1st row, but how to do the same with any number of them ?

    Hi Gary,

What do you mean by "any number of them"?

Do you mean not just column A and row 1?

i think you you are talking about "freeze pane option"????

click on the CELL (not column header or row header) say cell H10 then on the View menu click "freeze panes"

Column H up to row 10 will stop from scrolling. hope i'm right.
I think people forget the word "THANK YOU!!!!" Do you still know it???

There is a little star ( ADD REPUTATION ) below those person who helped you. Click it to say your "PRIVATE APPRECIATION TO THEIR EFFORT ON THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS "

    Regards,
    Vladimir
