    hierarchy formula

    Hi guys

i have been looking at this all day, and every time i look at it, i produce different results

I would like to know, how many outlets (column D) go into a chain (column B), how many chains go into corp(column a).

    eg1)
column A, row 2, there is 1 corp, 1 chain, and one externalid

    eg 2)
so for instance if we look at column A, row 3-9, there is 7 corps with the same id,they all have the same chain but different externalid

    Eg3)

column b, row 10-15, there is 6 chains and 6 externalid

in this instance i would like a summary to show that there are,
    1corp,1chain 1outlet =no email address
    1corp, 6chains,6 outlets = no email address
    6chains, 6outlets= 1 email address
