Hello & Welcome to the Board,
Not exactly sure what you are after, but if you were trying to copy row 1 to 1000 and you are asking a quick and easy way to select them...
In the name box (right above column A) >> type in 1:1000 >> select enter

Regards, Jeff
Thanks Jeff.
Actually I was trying to copy multiple lines (separate and properly indented) from a word document to an excel spreadsheet. Its not copying from excel to excel. I need to copy each line in each row i.e. row 1 in word to row 1 in excel, row 2 to row 2 and so on.
Hope you could get it.
Thanks Jeff.

I don't have any experience with transferring data from Word to Excel but you might get some hits if you either search this forum or a google search.
I'm out of the door right now but I will check back later. This is another reason why thread titles and OP should be clear as to your intentions because if so I would have let those who are more suited to answer this query...
Anyway Jeff thanks for your kind reply. I will have to search more then I guess.
I've done this with simple documents by saving the Word doc as a text file and then importing it into Excel.
What happens when you just copy and paste?
