    Purchasing Excel 2013. Where?

I realize this is probably the wrong forum but no forum seemed to fit.

Should I spend the $110 and get the stand alone Excel 2013 from Microsoft themselves? I want Power Pivot. Or, do I just go buy a WalMart version from some other retailer for $60 to $80? Pros and cons of each approach?

Also, I'm hoping to install one on my PC and one on my laptop. I know MS was lenient in the past about such things. Are they still as lenient?

    Thanks in advance.

It is my understanding that the standalone version of Excel 2013 can only be installed on one machine - period. The license is valid for the life of that specific computer it was originally installed on. It cannot be transferred to another machine. I am not sure, but I believe all standalone versions in the U.S. of Excel 2013 are sold only in a download product key manner. You download Excel 2013 and then enter a product key to activate it. So it would not make any difference where you buy it from.

Quick follow-up. Purchased Office365 Pro Plus. It's a subscription ($12 per month / $13.04 per month including taxes). Love it! Comes with latest offerings (will be updated automatically when new offerings come out) of Excel, Word, Access, PP, etc. Very geeked about taking my Excel skills to the next level. This was a big step in the right direction.
