What is the easiest way to remove non-numerical values from a row of cells for processing?
1) Highlight the row
2) Press F5, click on Special
3) Use the options to select "Text" for either constants or formulas
4) OK
5) Now all the numbers are highlighted, press DELETE

i am a complete newbie so please dont think I am trying to argue with you I am trying to learn,, would not what you wrote erase all numbers? I think he wanted to erase everything except the numbers?
