number will not stay aligned in conditional formatted cell

I have a cell that is set to return a number of which I have the rule set to change the fill color from yellow/green/red based on the value, For some reason when the highest value is returned the number aligns to the right. All other values it is center of which I want. The formatting is set for center aligned, middle and general but still jumps right when changed back. I have tried different fonts, sizes and clearing all formatting and started over but always the same.. Any ideas out there?
