    Comparing cells

    Hello,

I have long list in the column A and a bit shorter one in the B. Column A contains all entries that are in the column B plus additional ones.
I would like to filter list A to show only that is unique for that column and to exclude entries that are in column B as well.

Simple example, let say that Column A has this entries:

    Blue
    Red
    Yellow
    Green
    Orange
    Black
    White

    And column B has
    Blue
    Red

I would like then to see in the column C for example
    Yellow
    Green
    Orange
    Black
    White

Thanks in advance for help, I am sure that this is something relatevily easy to sort out (I did try some lookup methods but it didn't work)

Thanks, but when trying this formula, it doesn't filter it but put everyting that is on the ClumnA to the ColumnC.

Thanks, this one did work, but actually when looked a bit closer, it gives me couple of more results then I have expected, but will have another check.
    Thanks again

    Re: Comparing cells

    Sorry, to be more clear:
This formula (second answer) =IF(COUNTIF($B$1:$B$7,A1)>0,"",A1) doesn't seem to be working, it just copies everything from A to C.

First answer gives me a bit more then I have expected.

    Thanks
