    Displaying excel sheets

I have done a lot of searching and I think I must be using the wrong terms.

BUT essentially I am trying to display an excel sheet without all the input options and so that it is laid out in a more aesthetically pleasing format.

What words should I be researching and asking advice about please.

    Thanks in advance

    Andy T

    Hi Andy

If you're looking to see a full screen without any Excel menus / icons/ toolbars etc., in the Visual Basic Environment create a one line macro with the following instruction

Please Login or Register to view this content.
set the parameter to False to see the full screen again.

    Hi,

You could always configure it manually.

First on the View menu select Toolbars and untick all that are ticked.
Then from the same View Menu untick the Formula and Status bar options
Finally from the View menu click 'FullScreen'

    Regards

If only it were that simple.

We have got one person who updates the sheets and most of them I need to view only, but leave the view and operation in tact. I would actually prefer them to use a data base so I can just manipulate the data but they are scared as they like to be in control and dont understand data bases but it makes my work 10 times harder not least what it does to my eyes trying to work from a sheet with loads of unrequired data to view.

Can you attach a dummy workbook

To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'.
To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.

On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'.
Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments.

You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page.
Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.

To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file.

To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page.
Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.

Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window.
You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
    Hope that helps.

    Re: Displaying excel sheets

    Hi,

From your additional information it sounds like what you may really be after is the 'Custom Views' functionality.

So configure each sheet as you'd like to be able to see it, hiding all rows and columns that you don't want to see. Then click the 'View ->Custom Views' menu item, choose 'Add' and give that particular configuration a name. Then each time you want to see that view after the user has entered data just select that name from the Custom Views menu.

You could in fact create a second custom view for the configuration that the user needs to see and then just move between the views through the custom view menu.
