I have text in a spread sheet that is in every 5th sell in a column. I am trying to list those numbers together in a column. I have tried entering in a cell =B7, and in the next =B12, and selecting both to pull down hoping Excel would recognize the pattern, but no luck.
Enter this formula in A1 and copy down...
=INDEX(B:B,ROW($B$7)+5*(ROW()-1))
or
copy down until you get blanks...
=IF(ROWS(A1:A$1)<=COUNTA(B:B),INDEX(B:B,ROW($B$7)+5*(ROW()-1)),"")
