Red face Formatting Chart Components With "Do not Move or Size with Cells" Attributes

If you insert an object into an Excel worksheet, most likely you will be able to format the object so that it does not move or size with changes to the sheet.
My question is: Is it possible to apply this same principle to the "Plot Area" of a chart. (Not the "Chart Area")
In my application I have a chart that has been formatted to have a transparent background. This charts sits on top of some formatted cells in the worksheet.
In order to maintain the registration of the chart to the background, I need to hold the plot area's position relative to the cells behind it.
Any worksheet or vba solution would be great here.

    Hi SDruley,

What I have understood that you want the chart's data to be static (freezed) so that when can put the transparent chart on it ensure the data does'nt moves here and there - where by maintaining the chart's position correct everytime.

Let me know if I am correct in my understanding.

Thank you for responding. I want the frame of the plot area to be static or frozen while data is freely plotted. Sometimes the numbers on the x and y axis will cause the frame to change it's shape to make room for larger or smaller numbers (numbers with more or fewer significant digits) on the axis line. Maybe the solution is to format the numbers of the x and y axis to "00.00" instead of "general".

    Ok...
I guess you need the numbers plotted on the x and y axis does'nt change the axis line, hence the frame of the plot area needs to be frozen.

Yes, you are correct in your approach, you just need to format the number so that the number length can be customized and restricted.
    Thanks.
