Dependent Drop-Downs

I have one drop down list dependent upon another. Say I select something in the first and second drop downs. But, when I change the value in the first drop down, the second stays the same until I change it. Is there a way to make the second drop down blank without VBA? I'm pretty sure their isn't, but it couldn't hurt to ask! Thanks!
