Recording Macros over serveral workbooks

I have one overall spreadsheet that is fed from nine others.

I would like to create a macro (I am a totaly novice) so that the Overall spreadsheet automatically updates from the other nine.

This is done on a monthly basis so it is not the same cells each month.

Any advice is much appreciated.
