Insert Number After Existing Data?

Hi all,

Please see atached spreadsheet. I have a long list of items as in Column A. I need the list to look like column B ( With a number in brackets after the data running down the sheet)

Is there a way i can do this? But i need to keep the existing data but add the number in brackets starting at "1" and running down the sheet.

Any help appreciated.
