Question Workbook - Muliple sheets need totals on first sheet

    Hello,

I have a 2010 Excel spreadsheet that I need some help with. Basically it's a workbook that has several sheets. The first sheet has the totals from the other sheets. (See attached)

I need to add 4 additional sheets that all have their totals on the front page. The front page has a running total of the sum of all of the sheets. I would like the total to be more prominant under the logo in some sort of highlighted box.

The problem is this template was given to me and I can't seem to figure out how to make the totals work.

I have attached the template of what I currently use so you have a better idea. Also, if you have a better idea of how to make this **** ball look better, I'm up for it.

Thanks for any help or efforts!,

    Dave

You mention four additional sheets but I don't see them. What should they be called?

You suggest that the totals don't work. What makes you believe they're not working? They seem OK to me.

    Hey Richard,

    Maybe I didn't explain this well enough...sorry.

I need four additional sheets. The totals add up fine, but the new sheets need to do the same as the other sheets.

    I hope that helps

    Many thanks,

    Dave

Right click on a tab, select Move or Copy..., then check Create a copy, then place the sheet wherever you want it. Rename it, and then insert the lines in your totals sheet in the right place. Copy and paste two of the lines you have and then just change the sheet name within the formula in column C. Last, but not least, change the sum formula in C27. I would recommend =SUM(C6:C21) for now. If you insert new rows above row 21 and below row 6, you won't have to update that formula.

As for the highlighted box, you can insert rows just beneath the logo, select the cell the total is in, move the cursor to any side of the cell until it becomes a four-way arrow, click, hold, and drag it where you want it to go and then format it how you want. Does this help or are you looking for something else?
