Check Date & time and set indicator

    Hi,

I have to schedule booking of an auto. I have following columns

    AutoNbr BookingDate BookingTime Customer

    A1002 01.12.2011 8 - 10 am c1002
    A1001 01.12.2011 9 - 10 am c1003
    A1002 01.12.2011 9 - 10 am c1004 -- Wrong entry as auto is double booked
    A1002 01.12.2011 9 - 9:30 am c1002 -- wrong entry as customer is double booked

Can you please help me, how to give indicator.

use conditional formatting with such formula

    for column A
    and this
    for column D

use e.g. red color as indicator

in this solution, we are not taking care of impact of column B & C.

Column B & C give information about availability of an auto or a customer. An auto can be booked by a customer, if the auto and customer is available.

Color of row 2 & row 4 is red, but these two are correct entry.
    Only Row 3,5 & 6 are wrong.

Color of row 2 & row 4 is red, but these two are correct entry
    why?
in both you have A1001 in first column so is double
please disable conditional formatting in this workbook and mark the correct cell with colors by hand because I do not follow the problem.

Re: Check Date & time and set indicator

A001 is booked in row 1 for 8-9. In second case A001 is booked for 9-10.

A001 is available from 9. so there is no point of double booking.
In case of A002, it is booked for 8-10 am. But another customer want to book A002 at 9 am. Thus it is double booked.

I require some indicator to highlight if the auto is not available and some body tried to book it.

Is it possible through formula, not by macro.
