Indirect Data Validation

Hi All

Does anyone know how to make a drop down list using the Indirect formular, that will automatically select the first value in the indirect list?

So lets say I have two lists...

1st:
Monkey
Elephant
etc

My indirect list for monkey is:

Banana
Nuts
etc


When "Monkey" is select in the first list, I want the indirect list to automatically select(show) "Banana"

But I'm not sure i've been clear

In your attachment, columsn E and F is what i would like. But, when selecting Monkey, I would like the Indirect drop down to still be a drop down list, but to show the first value in the list - see attached, hope it makes more sense!
