Question Shrink Merged Cells to One Row

I imported data from the internet into and excel file. The data came with merged cells and multiple row data. I removed the columns that have multiple rows; I don't need that data. I now want to reduce the data for each merged cell to a single row so that I can manipulate the data. The merged rows are variable sizes from two to four rows.

I have almost 117,000 rows so doing this manually is prohibitive.

    I am using Excel 2010.

Thank you for any assistance provided.

You can select the whole sheet & remove all merged cells
    Hope that helps.
