Excel 2007 : Dragging does not work

Hi

I have client's excel file in which when I try to name list from A to Z.......I write A, B, C then drag but it does not give the result (resulting in same ABCABCABC)

What can be the reason and what is the remedy?

I think you can only do that with numbers

Hi sushil10s,

I get the same exact function you get with 2010 using a default settings.
If you want to get A,B,C,....X,Y,Z you need to create a Custom List of the alphabet.

After creating a cutoms list of the whole alphabet it worked like you wanted.
