    Date problem

    Hello,

i am currently entering some cheque details by month.

First thing i need to enter is the date and i hate having to retype 24/11/2011 for every cheque. Can i set the Month & Year as a format please?

I mean can i input 24 and hit enter/tab and have 24/11/2011 in my cell?

I am using MS Excel 2010

    Thanks a lot

Sorry Sir, i dont think you understood.

I have like 200 cheques which are dated from 1-30 Novemer.

    So one cheque is 15/11/2011
    The other is 21/11/2011
    The other is 03/11/2011

Is there a way where can i enter 15 and the date gets 15/11/2011 all i want is to set 11/2011 as final like a format in itself.

    Thanks

    Re: Date problem

You could use a custom format of 0"/11/2011"

Don't think adding a format will be of any use for eventual analysis needed later
