Thank you very much for your answer, but i know the general rules of conditional formatting.
In what I'm asking you now, I can not find the formula needed to get me the desired result. So if I have the word "OPEN" in a cell, then after 5 seconds (for example) a particular cell to change color. This is my question.
On the website, pacoonejr asks a similar question on how to control the timing of the worksheet. It looks like the job may require some knowledge on VBA. Mark O' Brien responds with the following code:
Since you have mentioned that you want 5 seconds, not 15, you may copy this code and change 15 to 5. However, you may also want to change everything that comes after the line that says "Start = Timer". So instead of completely copying the code above, you may want to know how to write in VBA language how to command a cell to change color after 5 seconds upon the command of "OPEN".![]()

Unfortunately, I am still a novice at VBA, so I cannot help you on the actual code.![]()
Thank you for your interesting.
As i don't know VBA, i can't do something with that.!!
This is the reason that i asked a solution with conditional formating!
Does anyone else friend can help?
I would appreciate it very much.
I don't believe you can do this without VBA - you could use conditional formatting to format a cell once a particular time is passed but you need VBA probably to
1) create that fixed time in the first place (when "Open" is selected) and
2) to update the sheet so that the system time is applied , e.g. every second

Hi
Once the expert says it can not be done with conditional formatting, then I accept ιτ.
But allow me one more question.
In VBA, is it difficult to do? Is great code? Easy for a beginner like me?
Thank you very much.
