Question Freeze Command Button On Screen?

    Hi there,

I did a search on the forum and found one answer that seemed to answer my question, however it did not work on my sheet.

I've created three command buttons on a sheet from the Control Tool Box. I'd like those buttons not to scroll (remain stationary on the screen) when the cells are scrolled.

The answer I found in my search was to go into Design Mode, right click the command button, select Format Control, select Properties, and select the option "Don't move or size with cells. This does not work.

I'm using Excel 2003....any help would be appreciated.

    Don

    Hi Don,

My best recommendation would be to insert several rows at the top of your worksheet and set the Freeze Panes line below. You can then add your buttons to the area in those top few rows and scroll down the rest of the rows without affecting them.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks Paul. That'll work although I thought there might be a way to freeze them any place on the sheet. I've already got a Title row frozen, just have to increase the height of it accommodate the buttons.

    Thanks again,

    Don

My only thought would be to re-position the buttons every time you scroll the sheet - but that would likely cause screen flickering and issues with scrolling itself. Not to mention that every time you run a macro you lose your ability to undo previous steps. Kind of harsh just for scrolling the page.
