How to display only the first line of multi-line cell?

Some cells in a particular column in my workbook contain multiple lines.

As a general rule, I want my workbook to display only one line per row. If I click on a cell with multiple lines, then I would like the cell to reveal its entire contents.

Can I make my worksheet display only the first line of multi-line cells?

Depends on how fancy you need to get. Can't you just set the row height to the default?

Hi - How would I show only the 1st line?
I turn Wrap off but then I get part of the 2nd line showing as well.
The text in these lines are different lengths
