    if/then dates

    Hi.

I have been trying to pull out a formula and the excel rejects it. what i want to happen is a formula for one of the cell which dates refer to the action on the other cell.

    example:
case due date p1: 4 days
case due date p2: 9 days

If addt'l docs requestedaddt'l docs requested cell is filled with value or any statement, the case due date p2 increases daily(network days) and if the addt'l docs received cell is filled with value or any statement, the case due date p2 stops on increasing.

please help me on this. i asked our IT rep in our company, and even he cannot provide me the right formulas.

thanks in advance for your assistance.

    Sorry Crucio,

I'm not sure what you're trying to do here.

The Case p1 due date and Case p2 due dates are both hard coded values in the sample provided. Are they calculated using the Networkdays function with TATp1 and TATp2?

If they are calculated, then it would be possible to integrate in the logic for the Additional docs required.

However, you only mention that you want the due date to increase if additional documents are requested. How do you want it to increase? Do you want it to increase based upon today's date versus when the documents were requested? What data do you normally put in the Add'l Docs requested field?

    Re: if/then dates

For those hard coded values, i wasnt able to provide the formula for it is just a sample. i just want for the helpers to see what is the current format.

For the increasing days, my apologies for not elaborating. what i want to happen is when i encode the date(value) in case date, the case due date p1 will reflect the date(in network days) the date(case date+ tatp1). as for case due date p2, I want it to reflect the same as the case due date p1(case date+tatp2) but the difference is, it will adjust as long as we havent received the additional documents needed. means case due date p2= case date+tatp2(if addtl doc requested is filled, case due date p2 increases daily as long as the addtl doc recvd is not yet filled)

Please feel free to revert for clarification and thanks for your prompt response. I highly appreciate your help. I just need to provide this urgently. many many thanks.
