    Unhappy F2 doesn't work

    Hey All,

The F2 button doesn't work in excel, it does nothing when pressed. I looked around on google, in various forums, and the most common problem was that an "Fn" toggle button was turned on the (wireless) keyboard.
I use a wireless keyboard, and it has an Fn button for some secondary functions on the keyboard, but it's NOT a toggle button, ie. when you want to use the secondary functions, you have to keep pressing it. Alt+F2 and Ctrl+F2 works in excel. Moreover, when the Fn button is pressed, the secondary function works (mutes the speakers...).
When the wireless keyboard is not connected, it still doesn't work with the laptop's own keyboard...
    im using excel 2007.

    Does anyone have any idea?
    Thx,
    Mickey

    Re: F2 doesn't work

    Hi Mickey,

Did this just recently happened? Have it worked before?
Did you test it on a new instance of Excel? (I.e. Run Excel, do not open any other workbook, and press F2)
Do you have any add-ins (other than the ones provided by Excel) installed?

    Hey quekbc,
    Thanks for your response.

I didn't work a lot in excel on my notebook before, so i'm not 100% sure, but i think that it used to work before
What does F2 do when there is no workbook open? tried it, didn't do anything... (and it doesn't work in a blank workbook...)
Only the Adobe PDF maker addin is installed besides the MS ones.

please let me know if you have any idea...
    Thx!!!
