    Spatially Formatting a Graph Legend

    Hello,

I want to move around individual labels within a legend.

I have a clustered column graph that shows one type of data on the left half, and a second type of data on the right half of the graph. The two data types have their own vertical axes on the right and left. In order to make the legend more clearly indicate which colors correspond to which axes, I want to have the legend labels for the left part of the graph appear above the columns, while the legend labels for the right part of the graph should appear to the right of the plot area and be oriented vertically.

My thought was that I could just make the legend area really big and then move the individual labels around within the legend area to how I wanted them, but Excel doesn't seem to want to let me move them. Is there a way to do this? Or is there a way to split up the legend into 2 portions to achieve this look?

Thank you, and for any links that I may have missed.
