Calculating Costs where quantities cover more than one threshold

    Hello,
I am unable to write a formula that would correctly calculate the cost based upon a pricing table.

I have calculated a price for each metre cubed of soil dug out of the ground. The price varies depending upon the volume that is dug. I need to beable to calculate the total cost of the soil actually dug each month.

    Please see the attached worksheet.

    Thanks in advance

Re: Caculating Costs where quantities cover more than one threshold

Does the price vary with the total volume dugout, or does it vary with each threshold ?

F example if you have 100000 is the price 3.37 per m³ or 2.88 for the first77820, and 3.37 for (100000-77820 )?

Apologies for the lack of clarity.
In your example, the latter is true i.e. it would be 2.88 for the first 77820, and 3.37 for (100000-77820 ).
    thank you

The formula in attached file calculates all in one go.

The calculations in col F are just a check to see if the formula is correct

    Hope this helps

Thank you, this works wonderfully, even with a change in volumes.
