    Hello All,

    This sort question has been asked before most likely, but I can't seem to get it to work in my scenario?

    I have about 400 rows of data that I want to sort based upon some point names. This is my problem...

    When I sort a group of numbers, for instance, 1-100 it sorts 1, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 2, 20....

    How can I get it to sort consecutively without bumping the number two after the number 19 and before 20?

    Hi apex_predetor and welcome to the forum,

    Your rows are sorting like that because they are text instead of numbers. In a blank column put a formula of the cell plus zero. This will convert them to numbers. Copy and paste the new column over the text column and it should sort ok.

    I tried that but it goves me the #VALUE error becasue my data is alpha numeric. I was trying to simplify my "issues" in the first post.

    R-105
    R-106
    R-107
    R-108
    R-109
    R-11
    R-110


    Here are two quick strings of data that I am trying to sort. See how it puts in the R-11 after the R-109? Can't figure it out?
