    Excel display/borders out of whack

My computer (Dell Inspiron laptop, XP Pro) went into hibernation mode, and when I booted it back up all my Office Professional 7 programs (Word, Excel, PPT, etc.) have changed the way they appear on the screen. The screen for Excel is white with black borders, icons, etc. The only color is the header that shows the name of the current document. Very weird and hard to work with just black (actually a light gray) and white lines, icons, etc. My other programs, browser, etc are okay.

    Any ideas for a fix?

    Thanks!

Is it stuck like this permanently? Have you tried restarting Excel and/or your computer?

Yes, I have restarted excel and the computer many, many times. No change.

It sounds like your registry has become corrupted or something. I would try reinstalling Office.

Problem is solved! On another forum someone suggested this link:
    http://www.eggheadcafe.com/microsoft...interface.aspx

I followed several of those steps, and problem is solved!
