How to make filtered list not erase subtotals.

I have a table with a few columns that I filter to find data. But when I enter a subtotal adjacent to the table whenever I filter the data the subtotal formula becomes hidden from view after I filter the table list. is there any way I can leave the subtotal formula in the adjacent cell and not have to worry about it disappearing when I filter the table? Like is there a way to freeze the columns and rows in such a way that it leaves me to filter the data and yet allows me to see the adjacent cell with the subtotal formula? Thanks in advance.

You can put the formula above or below the table. Flitering hides entire rows.
