    Calculating annual leave

    Hi,

I'm trying to do an annual leave sheet to work out how many hours/minutes staff are entitled to per year.

Staff are entitled to 27 days per year and days are 7hrs and 12 minutes (7.2 in decimal) giving them 194hrs 24mins (194.4 in decimal) per year.

Some staff are also entitled to 5 days additional annual leave (36 hours)

I want to be able to type the number days someone is entitled to in cell a1 and get the number of hours/minutes this is in cell b1 (shown in format [h]" hour(s) "mm" minute(s)")

How can i make it so excel can show this sum in hours/minutes automatically after this calculation is completed?

    Cheers,

Your times in decimal in A4 in B4 the following formula A4/24 and format as [h]:mm
    Windows 7 using Office 2007 & 2010

Remember your [ code ] [ /code ] tags, makes reading soooo much easier

    Something like:

    HTML Code:

You can tinker with the formatting for cell D2 to give you exactly what you want.
