Excel 2007 : Sum if but only if not already calculated

Hi folks

First time poster so please point out any flaws and keep me right

I have created a document that records cinema sales for my work recording various details.
At the moment, in the run total column I have a formula that calulates the total each film made for all it's screenings. For example Love Like Poison made 43.80 over 3 screenings. What I want it to have the total only appear if it hasn't already been calculated. At the moment the total for that film appears in H3 H6 and H9. I only want it to appear in H3. Can anyone one help???

This could probably be done with a formula, but I think it's a good practice to keep reporting and data separate. Take a look at the attached pivot report and see if it will get you what you need.

It does help and might be a useful way of reporting all results but tthe information is used elsewhere on the sheet. I only showed a section of the whole spreadsheet. Therefore if possible I would rather use a formula

Try this formula in H3 copied down

=IF(COUNTIF(A$3:A3,A3)=1,SUMIF(A:A,A3,G:G),"")
