Hiding Cells or Data in cells

I have a spreadsheet that is used by all of my staff, however there is certain sensitive information that needs to be in this spreadsheet that I would like viewable only by myself or anyone I give a password to.

So is there a way for the spreadsheet to display certain cells as blank, unless opened by myself in which case it displays the information in the cells?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi
It is possible to format cells so they show as blank. However, whilst the sheet is unprotected the values show in the formula bar when the cells are selected. If you lock and hide them and protect the sheet then they are hidden there too. You would have to define what actions others can perform on the sheet when protected from the protection dialogue box. The cells allowed to be edited and seen would also have to be unlocked. You can apply passwords to the sheet. One problem is that when you unprotect the sheet to view the cells you'll have to reformat them to see them, or view their contents in the formula bar.

To format cells to show as blank:
    Select them
    Go to Format
    Cells
    Number Tab
    Custom
In Type box enter 3 semicolons
    Click OK

    Hope this makes sense
