Lunch last from 5am-4pm and Dinner is 4pm-1am

I need to Solve for B3(total line hours scheduled for lunch)=A3(all line positions) {time_in>5am-Time_out<4pm}.

You would do best to post a sample workbook showing your Sheet Layout and perhaps Before and After examples.

So can you state more clearly what you want to do?

It seems that you have a list of people with start and end times - do you want the total hours that those people work between 5 AM and 4 PM?

In the list you don't seem to have any times that cross midnight - is that the case always? If "dinner" lasts until 1 AM then don't you need some shifts like that?

On the top are the blanks that need to be filled

each person has a job

basied off the job and the time they work they will fall in to 1 of 2 catagories

catagory one is lunch witch is 5am to 4pm the other is dinner 4pm to 1 am

example I may have 5 people that their job falls under the line catagory(see data page for list of jobs) but only 2 people are lunch and I want to record their hours for lunch, and the other 3 people for dinner

the chart is also color cordinated for jobs and who falls in what classes

on the top left has all the diffrent job classes

simple one would be Q6=7hours S6=7 hrs (Q6=Laura A A Salad/Alley 9:00AM 4:00PM 7.00, S6=Mayanin G Salad/Alley 4:00PM 11:00PM 7.00)

the more compex ones are where there are multiple people for that List

I also have all the jobs set up in list F3 will give them all to you and they are listed on the top left
