    Average / Sum formulas

I have a spreadsheet that several formulas use average to get the total on various spreadsheets.

The final formula + those totals together to get the final total, but for some reason it is taking the average of the five totals that I want it to add up.

Is there any way of stopping it working at the average and just giving me the total

    Thanks

it is not clear and you should upload a sample workbook with sample data and your desired results

In order to attach a file Click the Go Advanced button, and click on the Manage Attachments button

    Re: Average / Sum formulas

Columns AJ4, AD4, X4, R4, L4, F4 use an average formula to get data from other spreadsheets.

Column AM is the total of the above row 3 should be 2 not 1 and row 4 should be 1 not 0 it appears to be taking the average rather than just adding up the total.

    Re: Average / Sum formulas

you should also use the round fucntion to round the result you get through average formual as some negative values which are less than 1 are making the sum less than 2. Due to formate the values are appearing as 0 or 1 but actully these are more than or less than of what these are appearing

It is recommended to use evaluate formula option in the formula tab on cell # AM3 in order to understand it
