Recently, every time I want to exit from my Excel file I get this annoying message;
“Do want to save changes you made to your file”
I know there must be a switch somewhere to turn this message off but I can’t find it
Cheers

Annoying that may be, but if you close a workbook without saving your work then you will appreciate it
Hope that helps.

I agree Roy, but as I said this annoying message only happened recently and prior to that I never exit Excel without saving and therefore never lost any work. I’m a keyboard man and it’s so easy to save and exit.
Don’t mind to write the code Jack mentions but I thought it was a matter of settings in Excel
Try what i say if it works (it will) please mark as solved
ALSO
Could XLA the code and call from the routiness i have highlighted, means all rods one code, be easy and now copy paste codes - just call myXLA,SAVEA for example
Thank you Jack for your time but I don’t have enough experience to do what you are saying.
In addition, for a simple thing like this message I get, it is not that important. As I said I thought that it was just a matter of going to a Menu and turn off a parameter.
I don’t know if I can mark this thread solved since it is not solved and I would prefer not to get involved in writing a code but if someone tells me to mark it solve as it is now, I will do that
Very sorry about it and I hope you understand
I post this message here to help others with similar problem
Tools menu / Options / Calculation Tab; I just turned off "Automatic Calculation" and picked the "Manual". Now this message is not there anymore. what a relief LOL
And I don't mind to hit F9 to re calculate the sheet as needed
Thank you all again
