Formula for changing a cell color

    Hi,

I have a spreadsheet where I need to compare two different cells. Differnt people are placing the information into the cells, and I want to bring attention to the last cell if the numbers do not match.

    For example,
A2 has the number 15745 and then J2 has the number 14755 entered. I would like to the cell J2 to change color because it does not match A2.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks,
    Myasmana

Re: Formula for changing a cell color

Select column J and go to Format|Conditional Formatting

    Select

Cell Value >> Is Not Equal To >> and enter =A1

assuming you selected all of column J from J1... adjust if you selected from lower.

click Format and choose Colour from Fill tab.
Where there is a will there are many ways.
