How do I build an invoice and have it pull data from excel?

My wife started a cheerleading buisness last year and I built a spreadsheet to help her keep track of each kid. I have a tab for each squad showing each kid with check numbers, dates and amounts. I also have a total and owed column that I used basic formulas for. Now she wants to be able to invoice each kid monthly. My question is, can I download an invoice template and have it pull data from each tab without having to manually enter it? Everything I've seen so far are just generic invoices where she would have to enter the data herself thus creating double work.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Well you can create your own template and then using Sumifs it can be automatically updated. Just a thought...

Hello,

in order to give you advice that you can use in your workbook, you would need to upload a sample file that shows the data structure.

Make sure to replace all personal and confidential data with dummy text.

It's hard to advise how to pull data from a spreadsheet we can't see.

I want to be able to go to each tab (tiny, youth, junior, and mini) and have the data pulled from each payment, check number, and date column showing what each kid paid and when they paid and with what check number and pull from the BF column (amount owed) showing what each kid owes for the year. I want that data transfered to an invoice for each child that we can hand out at practice each month.
Is this possible or should I be looking at some sort of business software. How do other business do it, i.e. pre-schools, etc?

I've written several invoicing programs using Excel but your data lay out makes it difficult to work with. All related data should be in a table format for easy access & use.

I just had a look at your sheet, I note tiny, youth, jr , mini, what do these refer to. if and i mean if these are different clubs as it were then theres a possibilty you could break it down into modules, theres one very important thing ive found when building spreadsheets and thats having structure in it, i.e. the first part maybe called Names, then create a named range so it can be refered to data validation for accuracy, more so if vlookup is used, i dont mind helping but the build guide lines have to be indepth, never build and assume that its finished, always build so other bits and peices can be put on.
