Excel exporting to dymo help required!

    Hi All,
Hope i make sense with my request.
I am looking to take 6 fields from an excel sheet and have it automatically exported to a custom dymo label.
    So for example:

    Field 1 - Customer Name
    Field 2 - Box 1 of 4
    Field 3 - Prawn Sandwich
    Field 4 - Beef Sandwich
    Field 5 - Tuna Sandwich
    Field 6 - Ham Sandwich

........ will be exported to my custom dymo label.

Can this be done? Is excel the best way to do this? What other options do I have if not?
Is Dymo the way to do this?

Thanks in advance for any help, i am totally new to both excel and dymo, but have managed to build a spreadsheet which "churns" out the above information based on other criteria, so excel would indeed be my preferred choice of label master info software (if that makes sense)

    Hope someone can help.

    Many thanks

Hi donkeyoaty and welcome to the forum,

It looks like Dymo needs an add-in to print using Outlook. See http://labelwriter.com/faqs.html

Does the Dymo show up as a printer in your OS? Can you simply print to that Printer and use "Selected" cells?
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

Re: Excel exporting to dymo help required!

Thanks for the quick response, i don't think i explained it well enough, because the trouble i am having is actually exporting those fields from the "database" into position on a custom dymo label (probably very basic stuff!!)
So far i can create an intelligent address field on the label and that will print the fields, providing they are horizontally across an excel sheet.
I.e field 3, field 4, field 5 etc will print as:

    field 3
    field 4
    field 5
    etc

This is fine for 1 part of the information i need on the label, however in my example in my first post:

    field 1 - customer name
    field 2 - box 1of 4

needs to also be exported to the label and this is what i am having trouble with.

So to summarise, i effectively need to export 3 separate pieces of info into 3 different parts of a label, however i can only find a way of exporting 1 piece of information as a single intelligent text box.

Hope thats a little clearer, and thanks again for responding so quickly.

Sorry, I guess I need to see a DYMO and how it expects to recieve the data.
Maybe your best bet is to ask their tech support the question.
