    row height problem

I'm using Excel 2007. I'm working with a very simple worksheet. The font I'm using is "Calibri". If I set the font size to 10, the row height is such that the contents fit nicely top to bottom. If I change the size to 11, some of the rows have an extra space between the top and bottom lines of the contents. The number of lines of text doesn't seem to matter. The height of most of the rows is correct. Only a few are not. Autofit rows doesn't fix the problem. I can manually change the height as follows (using a font size of 11): I multiply the number of lines of text in the row by 15 and the row height is perfect for the font.

Excel will only fit text accurately for the font name and font size defined for style Normal. So change the font in the cell to agree with Normal, or change style Normal to agree with the cell.

Here's what I found that works, so far. When I right clicked on a row and clicked "insert", I noticed that, sometimes, the, empty, inserted row was much wider then the default of 15. If I would right click that empty row and use the autofit height command, the row would resize to the default height. After that, any font or any font size that I used would display correctly. For some reason, the autofit row height doesn't work when something is already entered in the row. In the future, before I enter anything, I'm going to select the entire sheet and use the autofit row height command on it. I haven't looked in the options for a setting that will do this. I'll be back with results.
