Removing duplicate rows, based on ColumnA

Hi guys,

Probably a simple question but I cant figure it out. I want to remove the second duplicate record based on ColumnA. Currently I have a spreadsheet that looks like this....

A GMGHFNBG
B HDHDNGW
B WHGEWEY
C W4YHJEH
C WHGWHWWE
D PLOJGH
E SGSHGWE
F SHWEH
F WEW4Y34Y


As you can see there some are duplicate records in Column A. How can I delete the second record for each duplicate? BTW the spreadsheet I have is 700 rows long, hence the need for a formula or something of that nature. Thanks

EDIT*** when I submitted it, the data got scrunched together, this was copy and pasted from Excel. If its not obvious, Column A (Field 1) only contains a single letter

In Column C
=IF(COUNTIF($A$1:A1,A1)>1,"Delete","") copied down
Then filter on column C "Delete" and delete all visible rows
Does that work for you?
