Excel 2007 : Pivot Chart/Table create a new drop down menu in existing table

Hello Helpers and thank you.

With this attached workbook I have two issues I can't resolve;

1/ Without chaging the data table of how my data is currently arrnaged I need to have a drop down menu applied against the dates under values ?

2/I am trying to create a function that based on the last populated date in the date column of the table, the chart will show a vertical axis. So on the chart at July11 a vertical line would appear. And when there is data for Aug it will move over again.
