How to copy a formula into large data range

    Hi,

I have a spreadsheet with nearly 200,000 rows of data and want to insert a formula into a selected column which contains some data, thus overwriting the data in that column. I can't copy the formula in the first cell and use cntrl-shift-down arrow to go to the end of the active cells, as it jumps only to the next blank cell in the column. I then need to manually keep skipping to the next blank cell which is time consuming. I also can't filter out the blanks as the formula in this list (p.s. the list is also filtered to begin with) needs to have this formula entered in each blank cell. Is there some way I can copy the formula and use 'goto' or a similar function to quickly copy the cells into this large data range?

    Thanks

    Bill

    Have you tried Ctrl+Chift+End?

    Hi Dom,

Yes have tried cntrl-shift-end however goes to end of data set however also grabs two extra columns - does not grab the relevant column only to paste into.

You can then just continue to hold shift and press the left cursor key twice and it should give you what you want.
