Exclamation showing .260 instead of .26

How do I show the zero in the thousandth postion in a decimal. I have the cell formatted as a number to show 3 decimal places. I am required to it as .260 not rounded off to .26. This is the answer to a calculation. the cell value is not always .260. many times it is 3 numbers in the decimal without a zero, ie. .123

    Thank you

Are you sure it was entered as a number?

Select the cell and go to Data|Text to columns and just click Finish... does that change anything?

That didn't work. I basically don't want it to round off

If you formatted as Number with 3 decimals, then I can't think of anything else...

possibly post a sample workbook showing the issue?

Can it be stopped from round off the number?

Or is there a way to program it , That if the answer is only in the hundreths .26 to be able to add a zero .260 to make it look like thousandths?
