    Getting the prior calculations from adding 2 columns together?

    Hi,

    This seems like it should be obvious but I haven't found a way to do it yet.

    I have the following:
    Col1 = 2+3
    Col2 = 4+5
    Col3 = Col1+Col2

    I want to show the value in Col3 of the intermediate calculations of the prior columns. i.e. Col3 =2+3+4+5 =14 So the 14 would be in the square but in the formula editor it would show the raw values that made up Col1 and Col2.

    Is this possible and how would I do it?

    Appreciate the help.

    I can only think of a way to do this via VBA...the formula editor is not going to convert cell references to raw data and I'm fairly certain there's no native excel functions that will get you what you're looking for. If interested in the VBA approach, let me know. Thanks!

    If you're only looking for a view of this, have you considered using the formula auditor?
