    Searching for a numeric value in a text string

    Good morning,

    I need some help please to find a way to search for a numeric value in a column of data entries some of which have been converted to a text string but others remain as data;

    we have , say, five numeric values

    12345
    23451
    34512
    45123
    51234

    We need to group three of them as a single delivery;
    34512 / 45123 / 51234

    When I search in the column for, say. 45123 the 'Find' function returns 'Cannot data that matches that entry'. so is there a way of combining numeric values into a text string and then searching for one of the values (does that make sense?)

    Kind regards

    Uncle H

    Click on the Options box and deselect "match entire cell contents".

    It is better to upload a sample workbook with sample data and your desired results for better understanding

    In order to attach a file Click the Go Advanced button, and click on the Manage Attachments button
