Hiding/unhiding rows in a protected worksheet?

    Hi,

I need to lock worksheets but allow users to hide and unhide rows. One suggested solution was to use outlining then write code to allow outlining to work when the worksheet was locked, but this had two issues which I won't go into here.

So is there code to lock a worksheet but allow the user to hide and unhide rows and columns?

Re: Hiding/unhiding rows in a protected worksheet?

No f**cking way - too easy! I believe I tried that earlier, but it was just in trying to get the outlining to work (which it doesn't assist with). Thanks!

The one problem I still have is that I still need the outlining to work (I don't need as much outlining now as I did before given I can now hide rows/columns through your solution, but I need some other outlining for other reasons), which it doesn't when the sheet is locked. Do you know how I can get the outlining working?

    Cheers,
