    automate unmerging of cells

I have been sent a report that is generated by a third party application. The report is exported to excel but already with merged cells to show groupings. I need to be able to remove the groupings and have each merged cell show the data.

The attachment shows an example of what I get provided and what I need. I currently have to unmerge and copy which is a time consuming effort on a very large spreadsheet.

We have approached the supplier of the system to do a custom report but they have said they do not support any new developments on an old system. They only maintain it 'as is'!

Can anybody advise how I can do this within excel?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Azam Ali,

Thanks for looking at this. Both solutions work great.
