Pivot table from multiple columns of data vs date

I have an Excel data table that has a bunch of columns of which one is a date. I am trying to convert this so all of the other columns display across the top by date along the left, and totaled at the bottom, like this:

    Date Column1 Column2 Column3. etc
    06/08/11 data data data
    06/09/11 data data data
    etc...
    Total Ttl Column1, etc...

Will pivot tables do anything this simple?

    Please help.

    Re: Simple, Simple Pivot table

Should... if you drag date column to row area and each of the data columns to Data area, then after you finish. Click the Data grey button at top of pivot table and drag to the right one column and let go...
